003 | Chuck Shurley | Day 93

[ Good evening, Kore! Amidst all of the new arrivals that have been showing up is a familiar face. Or, well, it would be a familiar face if he hadn't been missing for about three weeks.

Chuck Shurley is standing on the edge of town, looking completely baffled and confused. Like he'd just found himself there without knowing how or why, and so he just... stopped walking. He's tired and he's sore and honestly, he doesn't feel all that great. All he wants to do is crawl into bed and sleep for a few days. He rubs his forehead and he blinks down at the communicator at his wrist for a few seconds. ]

So I, uh... I think I was just kidnapped? By... the scientists?

[ And if he sounds unsure, it's only because he is. It's like trying to remember a dream he had years ago - everything's all fuzzy. ]

Well, not literally. I don't think it can be aerosolized. We all went on trips through each other's dreams.

I don't think so. I saw some things, they wouldn't have wanted me to see. I'm not sure they were doing it.

So, it... had to be one of us, then? That did it.

I don't know Chuck. I doubt it, since it effected us.

[ The angels. ]

[ And not just angels, archangels. ]

Oh. That's... [ ...probably not a good thing. ]

[ He knows. ]

[ He clears his throat. ]

So, uh, did anything else happen? While I was gone.

[ He may or may not be using that phrase to see if Chuck remembers writing a similar line. Or he may be serious and just like how it hits the ear. Or it may or may not be both. Difficult to say with him. ]

[ He does remember the phrase, and a brief look of confusion passes his face. But he doesn't say anything about it. That's just how angels speak, he guesses? ]

Yeah, no, that's... that's good, then. Right?
