[The video clicks on and there's the Doctor, brainy specs in place, sitting in the kitchen of his house. Behind him was the kitchen table, but not useable as various disassembled toasters, radios, and even an oven could be seen on the floor. Parts were everywhere and had looked like a tornado had blown through.

Stacked to one side of the wall were some books, next to his hand was his notebook, full with stuffed papers in it. He looks stern, quiet, serious, perhaps brewing an oncoming storm?]

It's been four days since this curse-thing has been over. I haven't seen Sharon... or Natasha, [There's a pause, because sad enough as it is, he wasn't entirely sure that was her name.] There's significantly less traffic around town, which leads me to guess others are missing too.

This may seem ridiculous that I'm saying this, but don't travel alone, don't be alone, [Ignore the fact that he was currently.], let others know if you're going somewhere. Use the buddy-system if you have to.

[There's a pause as he looks away, licking his lips.] I've been doing research, as most of you are aware, and after running the calculations 3-4 times, my evidence is conclusive. If this is Earth, which I'm not for certain if it is yet or not, I must admit... We're in the northern hemisphere, judging by the weather patterns and the sun's movements in the sky. The winds... Westerlies, marking us at about 30-60 degrees latitude. Of course, this is all based off of if we're on Earth.

This leads me to my next hypothesis, which a couple of you have already thrown out there - bravo! Good for you! - I think we're in a pocket universe. Time doesn't flow linear, it never had, it's all... wibbly-wobbly, of course, but the star charts aren't quite right, which doesn't make sense at all if this is, in fact, Earth. I said Northern hemisphere, but if you look up at the sky, the charts don't match that correctly. It's a blend... I can't locate us due to that. And with so many people coming from other worlds, universes, alternative timelines, it's making this all rather strange. I know very few species capable of this feat, which... [He trails off, not wanting to think who has this kind of power and technology they possess. Enough to rival his own TARDIS, that is for sure.]

There's a chance I can get us out, but it'll take time. If there's any tools, scraps lying about, unused appliances, radios... I'd like to have those, please.

[Mina's sitting at a desk of some kind, leaned back, feet propped up and crossed at the ankles. She has a relaxed air, despite putting ample amounts of willpower into ensuring that her image comes through on the feed.

For a moment, she plays with the earring in her right ear (she doesn't wear on in the left), her tongue running over the tips of her teeth.]

Well. Now that we've made it through this sensational ordeal of seeing life through each other's eyes, embracing our differences, and coming together with a good, old-fashioned sense of community. Or whatever it is we did. I suppose now is as good a time as any to inform you all that I am, in fact, a vampire.

Yes. I am a legally certified doctor.

No. I don't feed off of my patients.

Yes. I do drink blood.

No. I don't want yours.

[A pause.]

And no. I don't sparkle.

If any of you have some sort of problem with this, you're welcome to come over to House 18 and kill me. It would certainly relieve the monotony of life. And it seems you have no need for a spare doctor around here. Otherwise, goodnight and do have a pleasant tomorrow.

[Dilandau's out in the grassy land near the beach, sweating from a recent bout of intensive exercise]

Have you finally stopped apologising now? [He doesn't hide the curl of his lip that shows how little he thinks of such gestures] I need a sparring partner, so if any of you demons have a sword and know how to use it, tell me. I start working at dawn.

[He pauses, narrowing his eyes]

And I don't want any of you to start telling me swords don't exist in your worlds too. I'm sick of hearing about how alien you all are.

[ Sometime before dawn the video clicks on, though it might not be terribly obvious at first; a night like this in a place with such little artificial light means that the video begins terribly dark, but eventually it focuses to show the strange constellations in the sky above Cape Kore. ]

Good morning. May God give you a good morning, adios, good bye, vas a Dios, you go with God, so it has always been attributed to higher and distant and foreign powers, that there is no control to be had over our spinning through the 'verse. Trapped on a rock, in a dream, trapped and here we are, back to ourselves.

Worse for wear. Damaged, cracked, broken, missing pieces, missing tunes, missing bones, missing missing missing...

Some of you are new, agitated and angry and odd like all the others. Why are you here? We don't know. How do you go home? We don't know but she can tell you, she can tell you this...

When you go you are taken and when you are taken it is sudden, and when it is sudden it sets the entire axis to spin in the wrong direction.

[ She sighs. A hand moves to blot out some of the stars, fingers spreading a bit to let the light back through, but not all of it. ]

If God is here then God is trapped along with all the other rats in the maze.

Come on new voices. Come on and upheave your suffering, vent your frustrations, scream to the sky. Make noise that we may be able to better identify the new notes, she and I, make noise so that she may be better able to say goodbye when you're gone if she remains.

Announce yourselves, oh friends of mine, that she may feel reassured you haven't gone to dust like the carbon in starts that sits in our very bones, the iron and silver and atoms that are only as close as they will ever be. Nothing ever touches.

Announce yourselves for I am tired and angry and will set my soul to wounded hearts like the anchor and she won't be tracking you all down today. No, not today.

So much happens from sunset to sunrise. So much happens during the day. So much happens in so few hours, a handful of moments and it may be a miracle we haven't set the woods alight.

Why haven't we?!

[ Private to: Steve Rogers ]

Would you like a list? The dead and the missing?

There was a murder and there are several who did not wake in their beds.

[ Private to: Daneel ]

You have been a good friend to Ned. Thank you thank you thank you.

This means you have to keep yourself whole. Do you fight? Can you fight?

Hello there, young padawans. [Her voice is flat, almost to the point of disinterest.] I've been skulking about for a few days and I'll cut straight to the point: I'm pretty sure that I'm ready to leave now. [More emotion starts to present itself; frustration with the slightest trace of anger.] I get the whole "stuck" thing, but that's always such crap. Someone's usually behind that and they'll usually fold if approached the right way -- which in my case may very well be with a fist.

[She lets a little huff of air out, almost a laugh.] But I'm getting ahead of myself. So, how about this! I'll even be a good sport about it (if you could see me, I am smiling and not going to press any sort of interdimensional charges on you, I promise). I'm a busy woman with a cat to feed and a teenage cousin to roll my eyes at back home. Send me to my San Francisco and I'll forget this ever happened.

[She's walking near the rotten piers, looking at her wrist. Her wings behind her are fluttering in the slight breeze.]

I was wondering if anyone had seen any barbecues around? It's cold, but I'm from Boston, so we're used to winter barbecuing.

I was going to -

[She trips and falls forward.]

Ow, what's -

[Her wrist twists as she scrambles away screaming in that high-pitched horror movie way. There's a brief flash of legs and then a flare of fire as the wooden piers catch behind her.

She's framed in flame, staring at the half a body.]

HUNTERS!

[A young man glares down at the screen, his eyes pinpricked by the adrenaline rush that's making him pant through gritted teeth. He's enraged, but underneath that is a deep fear. He's pressed up against the trunk of a tree at the edge of the forest.

He snarls a retort to the message that's just finished playing as soon as his finger has left the reply switch]

Don't try to leave? Do you think you can stop me from trying to leave?!

[The view blurs as he shakes his wrist and starts shrieking at the device]

Who are you? How long have you kept me here?!  How dare you shackle a radio to me?!

[The video cuts when he slams his other fist on the device]
