I've been here for fourteen days. I'm sure that a lot of you have been here for longer. I'm also certain that this might not matter with what's going on now but you might be surprised. I know that with what's going on I'd like to not think about it for at least a few hours. Right now I'd rather be shopping, or having lunch with my friend.

[ Even reading something, or being in school. Shocking, she knows ]

What would you rather do? Or what do you miss doing.

[After the rough introduction to the town, Lara has been laid up in the clinic for a day. Wounds had shown beginning signs of infection and Lara didn't want to chance it so - a mini-vacation.

She recognizes Lydia's voice though and is bored enough to respond.]

I miss school.

[University was so wonderful compared to the shitstorm that is her life now.]

I mean I miss my computer. I'd rather be doing just about anything else that isn't here but the thing I miss is that.

[She leans in, almost eagerly.] About twice what you've been. I think I'd rather be back at work; I was on my way to a gig when I was brought here.

[Now that she's been given the opportunity to think about it? Leisure-time kind of seems like a far-off dream. The hunter lifestyle doesn't exactly come with a hell of a lot of downtime, and even before she'd started hunting, she'd spent most of her time working at the roadhouse, keeping the family business afloat.]

Kind of miss playing poker with the guys that used to come into the roadhouse. They were never very good.

[She misses their money, mostly.]

It made up for them being lousy tippers.
