003 | Chuck Shurley | Day 93
[ Good evening, Kore! Amidst all of the new arrivals that have been showing up is a familiar face. Or, well, it would be a familiar face if he hadn't been missing for about three weeks.
Chuck Shurley is standing on the edge of town, looking completely baffled and confused. Like he'd just found himself there without knowing how or why, and so he just... stopped walking. He's tired and he's sore and honestly, he doesn't feel all that great. All he wants to do is crawl into bed and sleep for a few days. He rubs his forehead and he blinks down at the communicator at his wrist for a few seconds. ]
So I, uh... I think I was just kidnapped? By... the scientists?
[ And if he sounds unsure, it's only because he is. It's like trying to remember a dream he had years ago - everything's all fuzzy. ]

[ He honestly hadn't considered that option. He frowns as he tries to remember what, exactly happened. Did he walk all the way here? If he did, where did he even walk from? Or had he been tossed out?
He really can't remember. He was just... here. ]

[ Or will be, in three seconds. ]

[ He rubs his forehead. ]
I mean, the island's not that big, you know?
...they kept my room?
[ Because, really, he wouldn't have been surprised if Gabriel had turned his room into a sex room or a room full of junk food or something. ]

[ He nods slightly. ]
They did. Balthazar came back after a while so it seemed a good idea.

[ He's back now, apparently, so it's not as big of a deal as it could be, but still. ]

[ Liar, liar. He's freaked, and it has his jaw tensed and tight, the muscles at his temples drawn back, even his voice is a little off. ]

Yeah, but, I mean. Balthazar and I both came back, right?

[ Lucifer hasn't. ]
So they should be back soon.

Yeah. I mean, the scientists can't keep them forever, right?

[ But Lucifer hadn't returned yet, and he can't forget that. ]

[ Chuck clears his throat. ]
