[ Guess who's back from the dead? That's right, everybody's favourite resident demon! Of course, she's lacking a little of her usual sass and sparkle - apparently being thrown to the wolves - quite literally (if by wolves we mean hellhounds) - has that effect on a person. ]

Hello Cape Kore. Did you miss me? [ There's a smirk, but it's strained. ]

Did you get the stray puppy population under control while I was on my unscheduled vacation or you all still waiting for the dog warden to show up?

[It's gentle and teasing, because Fortescue's not entirely sure about that last part. She'll try to be delicate about the 'vacation'.]

I haven't seen the hellpups in a while. Did they, er, have to do with your unscheduled vacation?

Speaking as someone who's nearly died a few times, there's no "better" way; at the end of the day, you're still dead. But that sounds remarkably unpleasant, all the same. I don't suppose you remember this spa?

[Fortescue isn't expecting that she would, what with all of the memory tampering going on here, but hey. Never hurts to ask.]

What can I say? I'll take a broken angel and a Winchester over the bronzed gods any day - just don't tell them I told you that. Wouldn't want their egos to explode.

My lips are sealed. And unless you mean the fermented kind, I'm afraid I haven't seen any. There's some other fruit, though I didn't recognize it. Or is it a specific craving?

[She understands cravings. Even if Fortescue's first thought had been for booze, each time she'd had a close call.]

You survive the pups in one piece?

[Fortescue displays the bandage wrapped around her right forearm. There's one around her leg, too. The wounds are fairly minor, as far as bites go; the bandages are mostly for protection at this point.]

Mostly. I was surprised. As it turns out, we have a few tricks in common, the pups and I.

[Nothing more surprising than shifting to Shadow, to get away, and... finding a really ugly mutt staring right at you, ready to tear your throat out. For a magus, anyway.]

No, I don't believe she did. Jo was not as luckily, so unless you wish to see a revision in hostilities I suggest you tread lightly.

Pretty sure Ellen is still feeling pretty hostile towards me if her murdering me is anything to go by.

The dogs seem to have wandered off to piddle on someone else's fire hydrant, and they have yet to be replaced by any worse horrors. So welcome back! Care for a drink?

Our little secret, Sugar. [ Hey, just because she's willing to die for her cause doesn't mean she's suicidal! She doesn't plan on telling Michael anything. In fact, she plans to stay right off his radar. ]

A drink? You definitely know how to spoil a girl.

I can't promise it'll be any good, but I've been able to find something intoxicating in the canteen reliably. Shall I click my heels together and see if I can get us some decent bourbon?

[ Only not. Because loving one angel is already more than enough. ]

Oh, don't do that, darling. Your dance card is full already. [Sex with her has been quite rewarding, friendship of whatever sort a demon and an angel can manage is welcome, but love had better be Castiel's problem.]

[ The sex was good - and at least she now knows that sex with an angel won't kill her - unless the angel in question smites her midway, but that's hardly gentlemanly. At least wait until she's done!

And the banter is enjoyable.

But really, loving one angel already makes Meg want to stab herself in the face with a fork out of disgust at herself for feeling all squishy and gooey and sparkly rainbows. ]

[With a smirk and a wink, he cuts the feed. About fifteen minutes later he lands outside her door with a rustle of wings. Assuming it's not locked, he'll push it ajar and peer in.] Mission accomplished. Do you do ice cream? I brought a carton of it, too.

You sure you're not trying to make me fall in love with you, Feathers? Alcohol and ice cream? That's the way to any woman's heart no matter how black and broken it is.

[ She shoots him a smirk in return and sits up on her bed. ]

Luckily for you, there's only enough space for one angel shaped being in this tarnish, demonic heart of mine.
