Day 90; Video 003

[The breeze pushes her heavy hair behind her. She takes a deep breath and then puts a smile on for the camera. It's tentative, but there.]

I owe apologies. Quite a few of them. Riley, Charlie, St. Raphael, Derek....

[She pauses.]

Dilandau.

I had some personal trouble recently and lashed out at those that didn't deserve it. I apologize for not being able to keep my temper and for not explaining anything.

[Another pause.]

And for still not explaining anything.

I just... Please accept my apology. For those that don't wish to, [Dilandau] I understand.

I'm going to be staying at the lighthouse a bit, I think. I need the perspective and if something happens again, there won't be anyone to take the brunt of it. Except some seagulls, but they're usually pretty forgiving.

I'm sure Charlie and St. Raphael will find your calling them monsters endearing. And then, of course, there's others around, who I'm sure would be ecstatic to hear your opinions.

[She sounds tired. Since people have been showing up in her nightmares, she refuses to sleep. And it shows.]

[She sleeps okay. There's nothing in her dreams that would bother her for people to learn.]

No. I'm not. I don't like people learning about me without my permission but it seems to be happening regardless of my desires.

Prayer helps? I mean it does for me. There's meditations to guide the mind and things like that, but it's the same principle really.

[She appears on the screen. She's not returning the smile, but she's not frowning or looking angry. More like she's trying not to show how she feels.]

Is it over?

[Because Riley didn't want to have to worry about having to tip toe around the people she lived around as well as the creatures in the woods.]

[Brigid's face heats. Riley has no reason to forgive her.]

Yes, it's over. I... can explain it to you, if you'd like. Somewhere neutral?

[There's a flicker of curiosity in her eyes before she covers it.]

No tricks? No flipping out?

[Because Riley was willing to listen, but she wasn't willing to walk into any sort of trap or excuse to have another fight.]

No. Nothing at all, just me talking and keeping my hands to myself.

[She's really sorry.]

[Riley takes a minute to think about it, but she'd have to be blind not to see how Brigid looks genuinely remorseful.]

[Honestly? Jo has no idea what happened, but whatever it is, it seems heavy -- and given the nature of her apology, she's not sure this girl is going to be getting much in the way of concern right now. She presses her lips together, concerned.]

[Brigid blinks. No one's asked her that. Since she was speaking to people that know her, they all seem to accept that she's okay.]

Honestly? I'm not sure. I'm getting better than I was. Which is an improvement.

Feel like I should ask what happened, but that seems a little too nosy. Glad to hear you're getting better, though, whatever the situation is. Any improvement is good.

I have a really bad temper. It... got out of my control with a few people. I dislike that and wanted to apologize.

I... feel like I do. I understand that here, you are far closer to us, than normal, and thus more likely to interfere. But I hate feeling as if I forced you to.
