It's late. She's been back for a few hours, and after getting back to her house and room she's tried to see (at least externally) what's changed. It doesn't look like a lot but: ]

Yep. There's a brand new strip mall downtown, and a strip club to go with it. They had to knock down the church to make room for it-- [and his expression goes serious just long enough to give the impression that he thinks that's a bad thing] -- so even if the club doesn't last, it'll have done something good for thecommunity, at least.

[ Would he know? Would he care? They're questions that Lydia can't answer, and maybe doesn't want to. It was enough that it happened, never mind everything else that belonged to it.
